A more accessible, affordable version of the pro-grade Music Man Stingray, the Sterling by Music Man Ray34 sets you up with a serious, style-packed 4-string bass complete with a nyatoh body, finished with that unmistakable yet unique, cutaway shape and 3-to-1 machine head layout, and a potent H-1 Alnico humbucker and three-band EQ. This rendition of the Ray34 comes complete with a deluxe gig bag.
The Ray34: Warm, Versatile Punch
The nyatoh body provides a warm acoustic foundation with plenty of sustain while the single Music Man Designed Alnico bridge-pickup shapes surprisingly versatile punch that can be further tweaked in detail using the active tone controls. The perfect slap-bass, the Ray has been finished with a classic egg-shaped pickguard and boomerang-style control panel, completing its timeless look.
Professional Build
Six bolts secure the roasted hard-maple neck to sure-up the rock-hard stability while guaranteeing supreme vibrational transfer and sustain. For eased neck adjustments, truss rod access has been shifted to the end of the neck, so there’s no need to remove the neck or the strings, while the 21 medium frets and 9.5″ fretboard radius deliver that tight and familiar playing feel.
