Allmänt
It’s little wonder that the likes of Kurt Rosenwinkel and Bob Weir (Grateful Dead) toted D’Angelico guitars. The Deluxe DC is a decadent thinline archtop with a double cutaway to die for … and be grateful for it. This 16-inch semi-acoustic is designed to deliver soul, deep blues and medium-gain classic and straight-up rock and comes endowed with luxurious playing comfort and the richest sustain. The body is mounted with a TOM-style bridge and stopbar tailpiece while a solid centre-block has been sandwiched and glued between the arched-top and back to quell any fear of feedback.
The Deluxe DC: Potent, Full and Purely Vintage
The two-piece set-in maple neck has the familiar feel of a C-profile while the somewhat flatter-than-usual 16-inch radius ebony fretboard and 22 medium jumbo Jescar frets provide that all-important supple, comfortable playability. The double-cut laminated body of the D’Angelico Deluxe DC treats you to a powerful acoustic sound packed out with a rich overtones, and once it’s jacked in, Two Seymour Duncan Seth Lover A-4 humbuckers are powered up and translate a full, vintage amplified tone shaped by the classic punch and airy character of double-wound Alnico 5 PAFs.
