The KMA Audio Machines Queequeg sub-octave generator stompbox takes its name from the cannibalistic harpooner in Moby Dick. A most aptly chosen name, since this stompbox is no doubt just as brutal (albeit in a more positive sense). The Queequeg is designed to eat up the dry signal of your guitar, double it up and spit it out again in a lower octave. Using the Sub control, you can determine the sub-octave level of this analogue effect pedal. Turn it all the way to the left, and you’ll get fully clean tone, but turn it all the way to the right, and you’ll basically turn your guitar into a synth bass. This true bypass pedal offers a ton of tonal variation and can even be used in combination with a bass or a synthesizer.
