The expressive range of any drummer can hang on all the parts that make up their kit, and each of those parts can soon add up to a lot of money. To give novice drummers, or just drummers on a budget, a helping hand, Meinl present the HCL Series cymbals. As such, this medium-weight and larger-than-average 15 inch hi-hat packs excellent playability for a budget-friendly price. The HCS15H hi-hat has been made from machine-shaped MS63 brass alloy and comes in a traditional finish.

These hats have an alert, pointed stick-response and a fresh attack. The sound is warm and transparent, so don’t expect a mix-slicing metal-hat, but more of a balanced and adaptable hat with a more civilized volume to. The HCS15H hi-hat can essentially be used to play any style, but really comes into its own when used to shape fresh articulations and tasty, snapping grooves.
