Via ten channels and two zones, the Audiophony PREZONE642 mixer supplies plenty of setup options. This rack unit comes loaded with six microphone inputs and four line inputs that can routed to a specific zone or both zones at once. Each zone also features extra SUB output with dedicated volume controls and an extra insert that can either support external effect units or added protection. An equalizer and output level display has been fitted to help dial in each zone and, via the headphone port on the front panel and the Phone button, the signal can be monitored per zone before being sent out.
Clean Design
The clean design and layout of the Audiophony PREZONE642 mixer keeps things smooth and easy to work with and, since it’s so compact, the whole thing can be neatly mounted in a 19 inch rack where it takes up just two units of space. Once connected up, a priority switch can be flipped between channels 1 and 2, ducking the volume of non-priority channels to support announcements, while a set of Peak indicators aid signal level monitoring and a set of Clip LEDs light up for each channel when the signal gets too high. In case of a power outage, this mixer even comes equipped with a 24 Volt backup power supply.
