The sE Electronics X1 S is a pro-grade condenser microphone loaded with a cardioid pickup pattern, meaning it only captures sound coming from the direction it’s pointing in. Equipped with a low-pass filter, the X1 S allows for close-miking without muddied sound, while the included RF-X reflection filter ensures any acoustic reflections in the room can’t reach the microphone. Also, you definitely don’t need to be a skilled audio engineer to use the Audient EVO 4. This solid audio interface features two microphone/line inputs and, after plugging in the microphone and perhaps a guitar or a keyboard, you’re pretty much ready to record.
