The Cort GB64JJ is an utterly modern bass that keeps things J-style and classic and relatively inexpensive. This bass is built by the traditional combination of an ash body and ash neck to shape a definitely contemporary, prominent and pointed bass sound. The modern twist of the bolt-on neck is that the maple is roasted, which not only lends a beautifully dark finish but extra stability. Two specially developed Cort Voiced Tone VTB-ST single-coil pickups deliver considerable output when active and, using the push/pull volume pot, can be kicked down a notch into passive mode for more roundness and warmth. The body of the GB64JJ has also been shaped for comfort, as evidenced by the soft rounding off by the pocket, making access to the higher frets that little bit more satisfying.
