While Carl Martin might be better known for producing high-grade, guitar and bass focussed stompboxes, this three-band Parametric Preamp also serves as a solid performance tool for violin, double bass, and various other acoustic instruments. This in-depth pedal doesn’t just give you direct control over the bass, middle, and treble, giving you a maximum of 15 decibels of boost per band, but within specific frequency parameters, you can dictate the boost point of each band. While this stompbox bears a standard 9 Volt input, this is boosted internally up to 12 Volts to give the sound of your instrumentand amp more than enough headroom to play with, and using the conveniently fitted XLR output, this solid Carl Martin pedal even doubles as a DI box.
