Following up on the EZ-Creator Series, Devine unleash a solid line-up of full-grown USB/MIDI keyboards: the VersaKey Series. The Devine VersaKey 49 is the medium-sized member, and still manages to set you up with four octaves’ worth of semi-weighted keys with aftertouch, and a control panel loaded with encoders, performance pads, a transport section, and a pair of expressive touch-strips. While it comes complete with a copy of Bitwig 8-Track and has definitely been designed with studio production in mind, the VersaKey 49 serves as a solid stage controller as well as a comprehensive production tool – especially since here, it comes bundled up with a comfy backpack-style, custom-fit bag.
