The shell of this Tama snare has been made from brass and an added layer of black nickel-plated steel while the brass inner-layer is made visible by decorative markings engraved across the steel surface. The nickel-plated steel helps form the bright, clear attack and definition of this snare, while the brass brings some welcome warmth. Since the tuning range of the KA1465 Trackmaster is so immense, it retains breathtaking definition whether tuned high or low, and die-cast tension hoops are supported by ten tension rods to provide highly stable tuning and brilliantly even overtones. Rim shots and clicks are given full strength by this 14-inch diameter and 6.5-inch deep snare, making it the perfect all-rounder for the all-round drummer.
