The all-solid body of the Fender Redondo Classic has been finished in a high-gloss urethane lacquer while the Strat-style C-profile neck has been treated with a coat of satin-gloss to provide that all important Fender-grade comfort and smooth playability. The neck also makes the step-over from an electric model that bit easier, and the 15.75-inch radius of the pau ferro fretboard accommodates speed and clean bends.
The Redondo Classic: Solid Wood, Sound and Amplification
It’s not just the playing feel of this slope-shouldered flat-top that makes it so playable, since the solid maple neck has been bonded to a body shaped by solid mahogany sides, a solid mahogany back and a solid spruce top. This combination gives the Redondo a bright and rich acoustic foundation that’s further refined by warm and sweet overtones. The bone bridge saddle and nut guarantee accurate vibrational transfer and excellent sustain while, inside, an exclusively developed Fishman piëzo registers the sound, giving this guitar a full on-stage presence.
