Allmänt
Able to back up any playing style, the Ibanez SR375E has been built to hit the mark for any ambitious yet budget-conscious bassist. Offered at an outstanding, ultra-friendly price considering the quality you’re getting, this five-string beast serves up the full Ibanez treatment.
The SR-Body
This bass bears the classic Ibanez SR body which was originally designed to offer an alternative to the ubiquitous J and P-style basses. Years later, the SR body is a classic in its own right, and is indivisible from the contemporary music scene. Much of this has to do with the especially snug feel of the ergonomic, rounded shaping and the thin, lightweight design. The body of the SR375E has been made entirely from maple to lay down a full foundation sound and a sweet punch in the treble range, while the neck is just as refined. A five-piece walnut and maple hybrid, the SR5-profile neck has been finished with 24 frets and a jatoba fretboard and offers maximum playability.
Solid Hardware
The high quality wood used for the build matches up perfectly with a full set of solid Ibanez-made hardware. Two hefty PowerSpan Dual Coil humbuckers deliver an impressive output that can be customised as needed via the fitted three-band equaliser controls, then the power-tap switch can be engaged to split the double coils in two for a completely different set of tonal profiles. All of this comes capably backed up by a stable Accu-cast B120 bridge that’s been specifically designed to support the thickest bass strings, finishing an instrument that’s fully prepped to take on anything from fast, agile fusion and thick, fat funk, to solid metal and fluid jazz.
