For many percussionists, this Grammy-nominated Meinl artist no longer needs an introduction: Diego Galé! Together with Meinl, Diego Galé has worked on his own line of congas, in which the choice of materials and sound should above all link to his own roots. In addition, he has dedicated his life to perfecting Afro-Cuban music style: so Diego knows exactly what he wants, and what he is talking about. His expertise is clearly reflected in this Meinl Artist Series DGR1134CW conga. It is made of sturdy rubberwood (Chamchuri) and features beautifully finished brushed nickel hardware.

In Diego Galé’s Artist Series congas, you have a choice of two heads: a natural head or the Remo Fiberskyn synthetic head. This conga features the latter, allowing you to get a good punch and clear attack out of this conga. As we have come to expect from Meinl, the conga is of very high quality and also comes complete: so you get an L-shaped tuning spanner and Meinl tune-up oil. The SSR-type tension edge is 4 mm thick and the conga is fitted with 10 mm thick solid tension blocks. The conga has a diameter of 11.75-inches
