With this Meinl 16-inch Byzance Brilliant Trash Crash, you get yourself a very nice crash cymbal! The cymbal is made from a B20 bronze alloy and hand-hammered, giving each crash in this series its own unique sound. The crash has a ’thin’ weight and features a brilliant finish, giving this trash crash bright and open overtones, with an underlying silky ’washy’ sound that is dark in character.

The most important aspect of this so-called trash crash is, of course, what makes it an effects cymbal: the holes. The cymbal features a total of eight holes of different sizes, resulting in a ’trashy’ sound, short sustain, but still with that typical warm sound that hand-hammered cymbals have. Ideal for use as an accent cymbal in various styles of music.
