The 15″ Sabian AAX Thin Hats have been treated with a brilliant finished for a distinctly bright attack with honed focus. Due to the Autofocus Response incorporated into the shaping of these hats, there’s no need to worry about unwanted overtones. This specific technique doesn’t just filter out the overtones, but works as a kind of built-in equaliser to re-focus the sound and support awesome stick definition. This also helps to define an incredibly clear ’chick’ when these cymbals are played with the pedal. The smaller-than-average bell provides a fast playing feel when open while the raw finish adds a subtle yet complex layer. This genuinely interesting set of hats is likely to fit comfortably in pretty much any playing style.
