This Mapex Black Panther Hydro snare drum is 13 x 7 inches big and effortlessly shapes a comfortably dark, warm sound with tons of definition. Add that to its huge tuning range and 5.1mm six-ply maple shell reinforced with two 4mm walnut hoops, and the result is an immensely versatile bit of kit that can be used as either a main or side snare. Both sides naturally feature SONIClear bearing edges; 45-degrees for the batter head and 35-degrees for the resonant head. The black, brushed in-line lugs and hoops combine to grace the Black Panther Hydro with a beautifully dark and exclusive look, which also comes pre-fitted with a Remo Coated Ambassador batter head and a Remo Clear Ambassador resonant head.
