The impact of the Michael Kelly 53DB undeniably lies in its tonal flexibility. This T-style guitar has been mounted with two extra-thick Rockfield humbuckers backed up by Kelly’s very own Great-8 Mod. By engaging the Great-8, the coils of both pickups are tapped and a range of more classic single-coil-style sounds is opened up. Since looks are still important, the alder body of the 53DB has been finished with a sumptuous flamed maple top, while snug playing comfort is provided by a modern-C-profile neck and 22 medium jumbo frets.
