This robust little stompbox is home to a delicate yet powerful sonic-carpet-weaving reverb that can be gently tempted out using nothing but a 3-mode switch and a couple of control pots. This is the Old Blood Noise Endeavors Dark Star. Feed your signal with the preferred effect level using the Reverb pot, then find the right balance with your dry signal using the Mix pot. After that, the central mini switch can be flipped to colour in the sound with three very different shades: Pitch, Delay, or Crush. Two specific parameters of the selected mode can be tweaked using the pair of CTRL pots at the top; so if the Dark Star is in Pitch mode, you can freely weave in an octave up and an octave down; In Delay mode, you can throw your sound into space by opening up the delay length and push it as far as it can go by intensifying the feedback. Tread carefully however, since the Crush mode brings out the more brutal side of this compact pedal, essentially unleashing a merciless, sound-eating bit crusher.
