Michael Hurd. An operatic entertainment for young people following the traditional ?Punch and Judy? with music and libretto by Michael Hurd. Costumes and presentation can be simple or elaborate; accompaniment can be either by piano (piano duet) or classroom instruments (glockenspiel, side drum, cymbal and xylophone parts can be found in the score). Scored for unison chorus plus a minimum of four soloists who play the eight, treble roles. The nine songs include ?Scaramouch?s Fiddle Song?, ?Judy?s Lullaby? and ?Policeman?s Song And Duet?. 30 mins.
