The Custom cymbals from Meinl’s Pure Alloy series are a bit thinner and have a medium thin weight. As a result, they have a slightly softer attack, a warmer sound and a slightly shorter sustain. At the same time, they retain the bright and balanced sound the series is known for. This medium thin ride has a diameter of 20 inches. The balance between stick definition and ’wash’ is very pleasant. The cup resonates nicely but is not too overpowering. The top has a smoked-bronze finish, the bottom a brilliant finish. A nice ride that you really should hear in real life.
