With the HDJ1-M, Meinl delivers a beautiful djembe from its Headliner series. The beating skin is hand-selected from top-quality goat skins. A centuries-old Malian weaving technique has been used to tightly stretch the skin around the bowl. Durable PP nylon ropes ensure consistent tension on the skin and a traditional look. The bowl is solid and made from a single piece of mahogany. All these professional details make for a warm-sounding djembe of robust quality. A gem from Meinl especially for the enthusiastic djembe player.
Meinl HDJ1-M: traditional carvings
The underside of the djembe features traditional carvings. Combined with the black lacquer, this gives the djembe a traditional look. Hidden in the carvings is the Meinl logo, letting you know immediately that this is a quality instrument. The HDJ1-M features a sturdy handle so you can easily take this djembe anywhere.
