A lot more attainable than its Music Man-counterpart, the Sterling JP150 John Petrucci Signature features an ergonomically-contoured nyatoh body to ensure optimum playing comfort. In addition, Sterling by Music Man have opted for a flat, 16″ fretboard radius and 24 medium jumbo frets to give the JP150 a fast feel and make sure that bending notes is as smooth as possible.
The Sterling by Music Man JP150: A Precision Tool
After careful consideration, Sterling added a roasted maple neck and fretboard to the precision tool that is the JP150. These parts don’t just look good, but add extra brightness to the overall sound so that each note played is maximally defined. Boosting the JP150’s looks even further is a beautiful maple top that shows off its natural wood grain, while the neck is secured to the body with five bolts for optimal vibrational transference and fully stable tuning.
Demanding Standards
This Signature model is based on Petrucci’s demanding standards, which explains why it boasts a 2-point tremolo bridge, locking machine heads and an active 12 dB boost. In other words, the JP150 has everything needed to take any stage by storm and comes complete with a deluxe gig bag.
