Chameleon Labs’ mission statement is to provide ’analogue for the digital age’. As such, the Chameleon Labs 7603 preamp delivers pure pro-grade performance. This unit may be analogue, but has been developed for the contemporary studio, so you’re getting impeccable, squeaky clean signal with minimum noise. Connected condenser microphones are fed phantom power, a line signal can be run through, as well as guitar via a DI, and for that all-important extra tweaking, a three-band equaliser is provided – excellent for injecting a little ’air’ into vocals. In short, if you run a studio, this should definitely be on your shopping list.
