Built in Dorset, the Sontronics Mercury is a premium, multi-pattern condenser microphone equipped with an ECC81/12AT7 valve to guarantee warm, transparent sound with ample balanced harmonics. The continuously variable pickup patterns include omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-of-8, and there’s a low-cut filter and a -10dB pad switch to accommodate the recording of louder instruments such as drum kits and wind instruments. Next to a power supply, the Mercury comes including a shock-mount and a flight case.
