This Classic Vibe Series Squire bass has all the character and style of the Fender Precision Basses built back in the ’70s. From the authentic lacquer of the body to the tinted maple neck, you would have every reason to believe that this is the real thing. The time-travelling Classic Vibe 70 Precision bass has even been blessed with a set of fretboard block-inlays and a finger-rest.
The Classic Vibe 70s Precision Bass: Authentic Sound
It doesn’t just look like a classic Precision Bass, it actually sounds like one. This is definitely down to the Fender-designed Alnico Split-Coil mounted on this Squier. This pickup gives the instrument its characteristic P-style punch, so if you’re into fat, thrusting lows and powerful mids, you might’ve just found what you were looking for. A HiMass bridge with four adjustable bridge saddles guarantees robust sound and rock-solid intonation and, to complete the picture, this bass comes with a set of vintage-style machine heads and a black scratchplate.
Squier and the Classic Vibe Series
The most famous Fender models are the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. While many other manufacturers have built more than a few imitations over the decades, Fender wanted to be able to offer beginners an affordable alternative themselves. So, back in 1982, their daughter company, Squire was introduced. Ever since, Squier guitars and basses have been built according to Fender specifications and under the supervision of Fender themselves. The Classic Vibe models are part of a well-loved Squier Series based on vintage Fender designs, and each of these outstandingly-finished instruments delivers impressive sound for a remarkable price.
