If you’re a dedicated fan of the Fender Cabronita Telecaster and looking for fresh adventure, then allow Squier to treat you to a deeper tuned and lower priced alternative: the Paranormal Baritone Cabronita Tele. The body takes on the familiar shape of a genuine Telecaster and the C-profile neck has all the feel of a modern Fender model. But, once you get to the 27″ scale length (a nice chunk longer than a standard Tele), things start to look a little different, since this solid body guitar has been built to handle lower tunings like B or A. This brutal, deep-diving baritone is capably voiced by two specially developed Alnico Soapbar single-coils, the sound of which could comfortably find a place in an Ennio Morricone cover band – when it’s not busy with experimental country, or crunching rock and indie.
