The rather exotic Striped Ebony top of the Michael Kelly Custom Collection 50 comes dressed up with sleek black hardware, while its T-style korina body is considerately lightweight and shapes surprisingly elastic tone to match the boutique-grade styling. This is partly due to the aptly named ’Quad Mod’ – which expands on the standard three pickup configuration settings with an extra-special fourth option that places the pickups in series for a thick, gut punching sound that evokes the fat growl of a humbucker.
