As legend has it, the Joe Doe by Vintage JDV006 Longboard was first carved from the only surviving section of a surfboard back in 1967 by renowned surf board sculptor, Skip Blake. At least, that’s the story that Joe Guitars is sticking to. Made for the high waves and blistering sun of Surf City, this limited edition ash bodied electric guitar comes coated in a refreshing Laguna Blue and mounted with three lipstick pickups that frame the sparkling character and clean tone essential for that authentic Surf sound. Since Trev Wilkinson was involved in the design, the Longboard comes supported by a set of E-Z-Lok machine heads and a stable tremolo bridge. Only 100 of these totally tubular beauties will ever be made and each comes with a hard case and a certificate of authenticity.
