The student-friendly Pearl Export Lacquer snare is the perfect partner for nailing the rudiments, but will serve just as well as a second snare for more experienced drummers. Coated in an Azure Daybreak finish, this snare has a standard 14 inch diameter and 5.5 inch depth, while the shell has 6-ply birch, poplar, and mahogany plywood walls with a 7.5mm thickness and 45° bearing edges. In terms of hardware, you’re getting a set of NEL-lugs, 1.6mm Triple Flanged hoops, and an SR700 snare strainer with a S022N snare mat. To finish, Pearl have provided a pre-installed Remo batter and resonant head.
