Allmänt
The super-serious Jackson Soloist SL3X DX bears a classic ST-style body decked out with modern tools to complete a future-focussed instrument – fully primed for fierce, high-speed work. The basswood body has been contoured in all the right places, while the through-maple-neck and deep cutaways support slick access to each of the twenty-four jumbo frets, while the 12 to 16 inch compound radius of the laurel fretboard provides a controlled feel when grabbing chords in the lower positions and a light, accurate grip on licks and bends as the fretboard flattens further up the neck, completing a model that boasts extreme comfort and maximum playability.
The Jackson Soloist SL3X DX: A Flexible HSS Configuration
The Duncan Designed HB-103B humbucker at the bridge lays down power and warmth while the pair of Duncan Designed HR-101 Hot Rails single-coils in the middle and neck positions complete an insanely responsive and harmonically rich setup. Backed up by a five-way selector switch, the pickups can be flipped into any and every configuration to shape a vast array of tonal colour. And since this model has been built for speed, the mounted Floyd Rose Special Double-Locking Tremolo is almost a no-brainer and offers renowned whammy-bar action alongside unshakable tuning stability. Polished off by a Jackson signature pointed headstock, a set of pearloid sharkfin position markers, and black hardware, this edition of the Soloist is so cool it actually hurts.
