The cajabuka is a unique mash-up of a percussion instrument. While it’s shaped like a darabuka, it’s a cajon, and while it’s played lain across the thigh, it’s still a cajon. The Schlagwerk CBK80 Cajabuka Burl Flower responds just like a sharp-sounding cajon and delivers a refined snare thanks to the set of 20 wires inside – the tension of which can be tweaked and adjusted to preference. The 10.5″ Burl Flower playing surface has a striking, liquid-like finish, and to add an extra dimension to what the cajabuka can do, Schlagwerk have included a MultiClap that can be mounted and removed with ease.
