The Apprentice Series AGM5K from Washburn is a specially-designed, easy-to-get-around travel guitar, but that certainly doesn’t mean it’s inferior in any way, shape or form. Despite its humble size, this acoustic steel-string packs huge sound and comes outfitted with a selected spruce top, an ovangkol back and sides, and a mahogany neck. This beautiful mix of wood types guarantees rich sound with ample warmth and clarity, while the lightweight quarter-sawn scalloped bracing gives the top the freedom it needs to shape extra harmonics and full bass. To sweeten the deal, Washburn thoughtfully include and a comfortable and protective gig bag with the AGM5K G-Mini 5.
